Environmentalist Geoff Cape is on a quest to save the planet by making cities green and transforming a 125-year-old abandoned brick factory into a state of the art environmental centre is his vision. But Geoff’s faith is sorely tested as he struggles to find the $55 million he needs. Along the way, he gets help from Prince Charles, support from Rise of the Creative Class author Richard Florida, and travels to the World Economic Forum in Davos where he rubs shoulders with former U.S. President Bill Clinton. When construction begins, Geoff finds inspiration in the rich history of the site, uncovering the heart rending stories of former brick workers who lost colleagues in tragic industrial accidents and the secret history of the Nazi POWs whose forced labour produced the bricks that built modern Toronto.
